I had very nice days staying at this smoke-free hotel. It was lovely place for celebrating birthday. I loved the location in a convenient and prime setting to restaurants shopping. It was also short walk to central Phoenix, and Scottsdale. The service was great. Lucky me, got wake up calls free of charge too.

the staff is decent here, the services are great, and location is amazing near a huge shopping center and lots of great restaurants, older scottsdale / phoenix, and store. it has well-appointed rooms with mountain views. casual dishes can be found in the full-service restaurant. thank you for a very nice stay.

Staff was exceptional, I did not want to leave there!
The service was nice, nothing to complain about. The rooms of the hotel were attractively furnished and big with a kitchen, living space, for instance.

I chose this place due to location (near shopping, food, Scottsdale, the asu football stadium), and the fact that we got a 2-bedroom, 2-bath unit at a very reasonable price. This was a "girls' weekend away" and we didn't want to be crammed into a standard hotel room, so this was a great fit for us. It's not a fancy place, it's a bit outdated/older, but the unit was large, had a fully stocked kitchen, the beds were comfortable, it had a patio with a table and 4 chairs and a nice living room. We stayed in a Madeira Unit, upstairs, facing Camelback mountain. In the end, it was great to have the extra space and 2 bathrooms. We cooked breakfast in the room, and ate out for other meals. I would stay here again.
This is an older place, so do not expect to come and find a resort-like property. The pool area wasn't very nice, but it wasn't a deal-breaker either, as we were not there to hang out in the sun. However, if you are staying here to mostly relax by the pool, you might be disappointed. Also, the Seville Unit had a walled-in patio so you had no view (and no breeze). We asked for an upstairs Madeira Unit, which has an open patio.

We loved the setting with privacy and the feeling of home in that we could outdoor BBQ, entertain, cook our own meal, eat in a restaurant or outdoor bar & grill. All staff was cordial and accomidating. We regreted having to leave.
The only negative was a reservation issue. We were called on Tuesday morning and asked if we were checking out soon. When I took my reservation confirmation to the desk the issue was immediatly remedied, and we checked out on Wednesday morning as scheduled. This is as close to a negative as I can think of

The massages that my sister and I had at the spa were excellent. The large bathroom in our two bedroom villa was very nice.
I wasn't expecting it to be so dated. It seemed like it would have been on the higher end of resorts maybe in the 1980's. The hot tub at the pool must have been out of order and they had rubber cones and yellow and black construction tape wrapped around it. Definitely a minus to the ambiance.

If you play tennis, there are 3 sunken and lit well maintained courts, the pool though dated is nice with a poolside grill, the grounds have walking trails, sand volleyball, putt putt course and putting green, close to shopping and hiking and many restaurants, located in a beautiful area of phoenix, quiet and the villas are large, private, and well maintained and upgraded nicely
